I never thought about it like that-that's interesting.
I think it is hard to think of the ideas of the intellectual level composed of
societies. But I think it helps if you consider the intellectual level to be
abstractions of the lower levels. Maybe from a lower level this abstraction
apears to be a "reduction" but from a intellectual level the abstractions
encompass everything in the lower levels so it is not a reduction.
Imagine if you could put everything into binary language. From the language
of the lower levels the 1 and 0 are just reductionistic abstractions of the
lower levels but from binary language it is kind of like 1 and 0 are composed
of the lower languages? Not sure if that makes sense.
