Bo, all,
I do have a tendency to argue about things not related at all to the MoQ, to
get into political discussions that are "inevitably dualistic, full of
subjects and objects. . . ." But now I'm wondering how to place the
Israeli-Palestinian conflict into a MoQ context. Is it simply a social-level
war? Or are both sides struggling for their own fundamental intellectual
rights- Palestinians for freedom from oppression and Isrealies for freedom
from terror? How does the American media play into this, which is very
biased against Palestine (ex. Time magazine's recent article with a mark for
every Israeli death by terrorist groups but nothing said of Arab victims of
the brutality of the Israeli army)? Are they, in this way, acting in a
low-Quality social pattern to prevent the public from sympathizing with
Palestine? I don't know, maybe everything is too confusing to fit into a MoQ
context . . . horrible things over there happen daily and even the most
ardent supporters of either side get desensitized to it. Any ideas on this
would be helpful.
