Thanks for the clarification. If you refer to the MOQ as a moral authority
that's fine with me because I do the same. What I fail to understand is
why the effort on the part of the Palestinians to impose their social
patterns at the expense of Israel is not at least equally morally
abhorrent to you. Intellectual rights are available to the citizens of
Israel
while those living under the Palestinian Authority have no such rights,
making the Israel society morally superior according to the MOQ.
(Similarly, English society was morally superior to German society
under the Nazis. I hope Powell isn't our generation's Neville
Chamberlain.)

You and I both feel social patterns to be of lower value than intellectual
patterns.
Indeed, if social patterns dominate the intellectual, then we have a case of
the immoral.

I have a rather low quality feeling about Jewish culture.
I do not like it's rigid social latching; so rigid in fact that it ritually
mutilates its male population in order to dominate biological values with its
social patterns.
While the domination of biological values by social values is a moral
activity in the MOQ, this mutilation takes the biscuit surely?
Here, the tribe is insular, and only a limited gene pool is promoted over the
wider global gene pool. Now how does that sound to you Platt?
The promotion of a limited gene pool reinforces the promotion of the Jewish
social patterns because the Jewish memes cannot be tracked by the genes in
the gene pool; the memes are in charge.
Jewish memes are not going to stand for ANY competing memes to get in their
way, which places all other cultures at an evolutionary disadvantage.
This is rather like me telling you that you can live comfortably in your home
but you had better not come out and move around outside otherwise i will harm
you.
At a time when many cultures are merging in the world and old barriers are
breaking down, the Jewish culture simply lets it be known that it will NEVER
be polluted by extrinsic influences.
The Jews practice what the Nazis wished to become: a dominant race.
Having said that, Israel is a haven for US values; it has imported US media
and in a sense is allowing itself to become more and more capitalist.
This is what gets right up Islamic noses - Israel, in isolating itself and
promoting western values, the region has a state in the middle of it which
appears to be saying: 'Anyone who is not capitalist and Jewish is inferior.'
That is a recipe for disaster in my view, and a real threat to intellectual
progress.
The US may wish to globalise the world in terms of capitalist consumerism,
but at least it does so without (in theory) racial exclusion.
There is a growing feeling that this situation cannot be allowed to continue,
and there is a whiff of revolution in the Eastern air.
In this scenario, it is Israel who is comparable to nazi Germany, and Powell
may do well to stop them before it gets serious.
I wonder why you and i diverge so far in our view of all this?
In a sense, our disagreement disappoints me.
Maybe i have more to learn?
