I fully support Horse's decision to block Struan from this site. The rules
of the forum clearly state that members should refrain from ad
hominem, personal attacks on other members. Struan consistently
violated the rule, even after repeated warnings. Even now he tries to
make "hypocrisy" an argument, another ad hominem attack.
The reason for the rule is obvious: personal attacks are anti-
intellectual.
Horse is correct in inviting those who don't agree with the rules of this
site or object to the way he enforces them to start another mailing list.
To invoke a collectivist theory that somehow this forum belongs to
those who contribute to it is to completely ignore the cost in time and
effort required by the moderator to keep it functioning.

morals. Full of great ways for others to improve without any expense to
themselves."
If I were Horse I would say at this point: "So long, fellas. You're on your
own. I don't need you."
