RE: MD A Goodbye Note

I assure you Marco it was not my intent to suggest that your reasoning is
tainted somehow due to you being Horse's servile subordinate (this seems to
be your cloaked charge). Although there may be truth to this, this is not
what I wrote and it's not what I meant. If I'd meant this, I would have
said something very straightforward, like "maybe your reasoning is tainted
by virture of being Horse's subordinate".

Why I (or anyone) would believe you'd need a "servile attitude" in order
to think that Horse should be supported because "he pays the fees and does
the administration", I'll never know. Your charge makes less sense
because I said I agreed with you on this point (and I'm not in service to
him). Your "My razor blade can cut your opinion off" is sheer bravado.

Since you apparently did look up the word in the dictionary, a misreading
of what I wrote or that English is not your mother tongue are the most
charitable remaining excuses I can muster (in light of your inventions
about me suggesting you might be "insincere", have "double thoughts",
that "Horse 'pays' [you] in some way", and that you are "incapable of
making an individual determination").

Your interpretation of what I wrote is mistaken, as I clearly used
'ancillary' to describe your *reasons*, not *you* or your (unmentioned)
administrative *position*:

> Your ancillary reasons for supporting Horse - that he pays the fees and
> does the administration, are all very agreeable.

My statement only means that your reasons for supporting Horse, while I
also agree with them, are of secondary importance to the issue at hand -
which is whether he should continue as moderator. The reasons you provide
involve tasks having little or nothing to do with that role, and as such
are auxiliary reasons and should be subordinate to any reason which speaks
directly to how well he moderates. In that regard I've already given my
views.
Glenn
