Elliot:
im sorry, but i cany help but chuckle to myslef. Again here you make the
oddest division. Reading about events is social, reading about what someone
else wrote is intellectual? What about the books that critique the media
analysists? the 5th level perhaps? Reading a news paper is the same level
as reading media analysis, both are just discussing different events. news
papers discuss people getting shooting people, media analysts discuss people
writting about people. When news papers discuss presidential addresses, are
they intellectual then and social when they discuss presidents getting shot,
what about discussing history? social or intellectual? if intel, how long
ago did it have to be before it becomes intellectual? If social, where does
that leave all the professors of acedemia? are only the proffessors who
study the history profesors intellectual? reading about reading is still
just reading, and thinking about thinking is just the same as thinking.
making that the distinction between social and intellectual? you really
think thats as grand a differance as between inorganic behavior and
biological behavior?
Is this letter intellectual or social? Its discussing thinking, so
intellectual. Its discussing an event, your saying something, so its
social? I'm just reporting what happened, you said something that doesnt
make a whole lot of sense.
Sorry if i sounded disrespectful, i get that way sometimes, no animosity
intended,
Elliot
