The SOM's claim that objects are real and values are unreal is discarded by
the MOQ. The MOQ discards the reality of objects, matter, and substance.
It says the only thing that is real is quality or value. However, the four
static patterns of value are related to subjects and objects in the
following way: inorganic patterns and biological patterns are objective.
Social patterns and intellectual patterns are subjective. This is how the
MOQ contains the SOM while expanding and improving upon it. Whereas in the
SOM's duality of mind and matter there was no relationship between the two
and they were eternally seperate and eternally unalike, in the MOQ the four
static patterns of value have an evolutionary moral relationship. The
higher ones are more recent and more moral than the lower ones.
