Elliot:
Im not opposed to have high quality things at all. im opposed to the
unnessicary quantity. You dont believe waste and inefficency are
incorporated into the system? have you ever bought a toy and seen all
packaging? balls before industrialization were less of a strain on waste
dumps. Also, all the paper and electricity that goes in advertising
(christ, all the creativity and human inginuity aswell). Yes, cars are
getting more efficent, theres no reason why people shouldnt be driving
hydrogen cell cars instead of diesil. Im not against technology, i dont
want to become more primative, thats devolving. But, the nessicites of mass
production blindly create ugly and wasteful things (advertising and
packagind to return to the examples, just a few of scores, and they are
everywhere).

recycling will never be as good as not wasting in the first place.

Elliot
