If money is the only other variable, then yes, money would be in a direct
relationship with Quality. But, because money is not equal to happiness (i
can be happy with material wealth that is not money) or productivity (i can
produce just as much without getting paid in dollar ammounts) directly,
universally, fundementally, it is merely a guage.
Without money there can still be quality. the example is not in societies,
its in people, who make up societies. thus, money, right now tends to guage
productive capability and may even corispond with happiness fairly well, but
the two are not the same, there are alternatives.
Dont mistake the thermometer for heat energy.
