To summarize, the inoganic and biological are patterns of Quality, and by
extension patterns of consiousness. Is it our consiousness? rather, what
we consider "our" consiousness is really just the same consiousness which is
shared by all things, but the ego claims it for itself, divorcing itself
from the uncarved block and the nature of the One Mind, making itself a
subject and leaving objectness to all else. Reality is not all in your
head, because your head is in the same consiousness as all else.
And a correction: there are four levels, inorganic biological social and
intellectual. Organic is not a level but rather a blur between inorganic
and biological. inorganic to Pirsig isnt the dictionary definition because
it includes burnt wood and diamonds (molocules containing carbon which dont
exibit biological behavior), and if he says organic as a level (and i think
he may a few times), he's talking about biology, not coal.
