Nishida Kitaro is considered the founder of the Kyoto school. He was
influenced by Heidegger, and his onetime pupil and subsequent successor
and antagonist, Tanabe Hajime studied with Heidegger for a while.
However, overall I don't think they are considered Heideggerians, as
other things, mainly Buddhism, had a bigger influence. In any case,
Nishida died in 1945, and Tanabe in 1962, so this is well before Pirsig.
Nishida's book "An Inquiry into the Good", which someone here
recommended as having a similar overall message as Pirsig, was written
about 1910 (I haven't read it, though would like to).
I have no idea who the Chinese Heideggerians might be.
