Magnus, Jonathan, Keith and Horse:

Magnus says:
"C'mon guys, this isn't the MoQ. Correct me if I'm wrong, Donny?, but isn't
all this talk about maps, metaphors, pragmatic tools and perceived reality
nothing more than idealism.?"

To set the record straight, I am not an"idealist". I am a Neo-Pirsigian-
Pragmatic-Empiricist. In fact, I was planning on setting up a cult in Waco
and calling it the "Branch-Pirsigians."

Seriously though, I agree with most or all of what Keith and Horse say about
both maps and reality.....I know ya'll read 'em, so let me skip the
perfunctory cut-and-paste.

Reality and maps-of-reality are different. The 4 levels are simple and (to
quote Glove) beautiful maps of that reality. They are an IPoV that we should
use until we come up with a better way to cut the cake.
