insanity has always fascinated me. and i have deep-seated conviction we are
all technically insane, for if we subscribe to the definition of insanity
which means to be out of sync with the majority then that means all of us.
we just try very hard to agree with the rest. however, we are all different
and separate...how did Pirsig described it? lonely ships in the dark sea of
life? something like that.
my point, though, is that insanity may, like the brujo's, be considered
sanity over a period of time. will MOQ be accepted by the majority in the
future, perhaps?
There are, of course, levels of insanity. And most people do not question
their own sanity very often. However, when you reach the point that it seems
natural to urinate on yourself and that you can burn your fingers because you
let a cigarette go to your fingers, you can see a kind of disregard for the
lower levels of Quality that is selfdestructive. In my own case and in many
(some would say most) others the insanity ensues because of a disconnection,
an alienation, from the people around and society in general. As a result, I
see how valuable the social integration (some would say brainwashing) that
occurs when we all grow up. Without the unending social programming, society
would always destablize within a few generations. Any examination of
societies that have lost a war or come under the control of another culture
shows theis de-stablization. A major topic which I have been dancing around
in my previous postings is how important it is to stablize our Social Static
Quality.
In closing, we must remember that the insanity that is Dynamic Quality can
never hurt the Intellectual Quality's development of Social Quality, the
Social Quality's development over Biological Quality, etc. without being
degenerative. And our intellecual logic can not interfere with Social
Quality's control over the Biological side of us.
