DaPhred writes,
I was a rather ignorant youth who's main preoccupation was partying
and girls. I had absolutely no education concerning philosophy or the
like and had little interest in anything that had to do with religion.

You know, I was pretty much like that, too. Then after an experience
like that you're the same, but completely changed. My question is, any
anyone else in the group had any experience like this? I wonder if this
is what makes Pirisg's philosophy so attractive?

God's thoughts were coming from within me, but also from outside of me
at the same time. It was like every cell in my body was talking to me
along with every atom in the room. I was both exhilarated and terrified
at the same time. I was litterally awe struck.

In my case it was that that profound and deep feeling. But it felt like
it was coming from deep within me, like water from a spring. But yes,
it's as if from the inside and outside at the same time.

It took me a very long time to "recooperate" from this whole experience.

Sophy Burnham wrote a book about this called "The Ecstatic Journey."
