out of lurk mode again.....confused.....trying to get a handle on
"discovered law". don't see that there are any discovered laws (as
far as goverment goes)....it seems like laws that are "discovered" -
like Megan's Law - aren't discovered so much as society's reaction to
an event (similar to the push for increased gun control after an
horrific shooting).
it seems that laws are either reactive (reacting to an event or
situation) or proactive (at a loss for an example
here....cocnstitution comes to mind, but that also was mostly a
reaction to the current situation and recent history of the time).
so, it seems to me that all laws are reactive....to either whaty has
happenned or what might happen.
like i said, fairly lost on this one, but thought i'd put my two
cents in. and while i'm depositing copper....there seems to be an
overlooked issue when it comes to laws - agreement. some laws have
greater agreement in society. (agreement being defined as the number
of people who believe in, or agree with, the law).
would love to hear what folks have to say.
