BO SUBSCRIBES TO THE MD TO DELIVER AN ANSWER TO ROGER, BUT WILL

ALL PARTICIPANTS OLD AND NEW IN THE PASSING.
Thanks for your response Roger. My piece came too late to be part of
the LS May discussion, but these our metaphysical flights reveal what
sets the MOQ apart from other philosophies so if you don't mind I'll
continue the thread for another round.

Yes, the S/O-divided world is Q-intellect. Whether it is contained in
the mind is Intellect's problem .....when trying to act as SOM. This
is what the MOQ is a liberation from.

How Intellect connects to DQ? IMHO in the same way as all the static
levels connect. Forget about thinking as something special ...all
right it is special in the same way that life is special compared to
the Inorganic, but not as a spiritual exercise. Again, remember the
old thread about the static levels as rise in "sign" complexity.
Matter as the base, life as the ability to read inorganic molecular
configurations as pain or pleasure; society as the ability to read
organic signs as meaning rejection or attraction and finally
Intellect as the ability to read social signs - grunts and groans as
language (this is horribly simplified but for clarity's sake). And
in doing so mistaking its own abstract/concrete split as the
metaphysical foundation, but EVERY static level is an abstraction of
the former. (It may well be that matter is an "abstraction" too, but
let that rest).

Yes, there is nothing "just" about the patterns of intellect and no
end to theorizing either. A criticism is just thought too! The MOQ
brings us out of the vicious circle of SOM and on to solid
metaphysical ground.

"A Quality event creates the subjects and objects that are then
mistaken for the real world..." is correct enough, but sounds awfully
magic. ZMM was P's first attempt to formulate a new metaphysics and
he stood with one leg in the SOM and the other poised over the
new territory. I think LILA is the book to consult when discussing
the MOQ. But ZMM is of course valuable. (My wife works as a librarian
and have repaired my first copy that was falling apart and
looked like a dadaistic painting from all my underlinings)
