Thanks for mentioning this. My mail program (Pegasus) had
a hiccup and deleted a big portion of my inbox - among it the first
messages from the LS, but I knew it was around this time in 1997.
Wow, two years and still crazy... I was a computer novice at that
time and did not understand the layout at first - for instance why my
own messages returned to me :-].

Also. I had thought up to that time that I was the only Pirsig
follower in the world, I had had a few responses to my web piece -
among them Platt Holden - but discovering that there were many other
was quite an event. Maggie Hettinger (Hi Maggie if you are still
connected) once spoke about that feeling calling it "wallowing in
Pirsig".

There should have been written a history of the development, but
this has been said before and nothing has materialized ...alas,
and such an account would be the author's version and certainly
become subject to discussion!! It is as if Pirsig not only is a
pioneer of a new metaphysics, but also of a new era how a world
view is propagated. Internet mailing lists and discussion groups. Not
travelling emissaries or missionaries. Well, let me not become
religious as Magnus once said.

Yes, thanks to Diana - and Magnus who were the "gründers"
as I understand the preludes, but also a big thank to you Horse. You
were a big leap forward.
