JC, I think you hit the nail right on the head when you said: "Many realize
this but don't even care."
I've said it before and I'll say it now: Too many comfortable people in
America. Comfortable people don't complain. When you're comfortable,
generally you don't want to change positions; you don't want to leave your
comfort zone. Oh, it's easy to sit back and pass judgment from *within* the
comfort zone. It's easy to sit back and tell people from afar how they ought
to deal with their problems. We'll tell you how to do it, just don't ask for
our help. Not enough people are dedicated to humanity. Not enough people are
willing to get their hands dirty or their feet wet in order to help those in
need. Am I wrong?
The social beast, as you call it, is not the enemy. Capitalism is not the
enemy. TV is not the enemy. Those are mere distractions, easy culprits. You
don't charge a gun with murder, you charge the person who pulls the trigger.
The real evil is the complacent heart of humanity.
It's not about leadership or new laws. It's about deep, fundamental change on
an individual basis, motivated not by social laws, but motivated by love for
our fellow human beings. If that love even exists.
