    Hello all,

'Ought' is just another SD.  The word 'isn't' better represents the presence of DQ.  It's at the moments where something isn't that all other possibilities are present.  At least, that's my take on it.

There is something strangely familiar with pondering the meaning of word 'is'?!#.

    Hi all

Thanks Dan for kicking this off.

How does MOQ view 'is' as opposed to 'ought'?

I suggest that 'is' refers to SQ. There is no choice involved.
An SQ pattern has been created. It will keep repeating
until DQ returns. It just 'is' that way. The sun will
    rise again tomorrow.

'Ought' says DQ is present. The situation is open. There is
a choice to make. Things can go one way or another, the pattern
is unknown, does not yet exist. We either have to await
DQ to come and take as into the unknown and the new.
Or we have to work with DQ and decide. Perhaps we
can see a a number of possible futures. Which future shall
we make actual? One paticular (here comes the finite world)
future looks good, we believe in it, we value it, it is the one we
'ought' to bring about. In the MOQ 'ought' is the future that the
    'ought' recommends us to choose!

Over to the MOQ jury: Right or wrong?

    regards
