I do understand that Matt wasn't saying truth is determined
by majority vote.....he is saying knowledge is measured
by consensus of opinion.
I think knowledge is awareness of truth. Consensus of opinion is not knowledge
or truth to me. I am just not sure I want to associate number
of people with the validity of an idea.
Matt's idea is practical I agree and may be best to use
as a rule of thumb to acquire knowledge.
In principle I don't like promoting the idea
knowledge = consensus of opinion though.
