Mark, Chuck,
I would like to add another reason to deplore the animosity. As I said in a
reply to DMB, to insist that the MOQ be anti-theist locks out the millions
of theists who could also be MOQists. (It also, technically, locks me out,
as I am neither theist nor anti-theist -- I consider both points of view to
be a violation of the mystical dictum that we should not get specific over
that which we cannot understand.). Although it is still a minority, there
is a movement among Christians away from a rigid theism. Those who support
the MOQ should, I would think, be aware of and supportive of that movement,
rather than simply denounce Christianity altogether.
