No. I don't participate in any religion, in the sense of taking part in any
social religious activity. My religious activity consists of thinking about
questions traditionally considered religious.

I'm not defending them in the sense of encouraging others to take part in
them. It is just that I find that a religious outlook is intellectually
superior to a secular one, once the former has been stripped of its
superstitions and mythology. And so, I find that I have more in common,
intellectually, with modern theologians than with people who promote a
secular view, like Dawkins or Rorty. It is further my opinion that
religions, in the West at any rate, are moving in that direction (of
stripping away superstitions, etc.), and that such movement should be
encouraged, and so I am objecting to the views of those who condemn all
religions without taking this movement into consideration.
