> The United States has reportedly been using napalm in the 2003 invasion of
Iraq. In August 2003, the Pentagon stopped denying the charge, admitting it did
use "Mark 77 firebombs".

> "We napalmed both those [bridge] approaches," said Colonel James Alles,
commander of Marine Air Group 11. "Unfortunately there were people there ...
you could see them in the cockpit video. They were Iraqi soldiers. It's no
great way to die. The generals love napalm. It has a big psychological effect."

Absolutely horrible, isn't it. I think quite possibly the only thing that
disgusts me- as a human being and an american- more is the knowledge that there
are those among us who sit back and cheer.
In Fahrenheit 9/11, leaving politics completely aside, they showed footage of a
young teenage girl who was caught in a napalm run. She was still alive, but her
skin was all but melted off. I have a daughter who is nearly 12, and all I
could think was about her father, standing there beside her, and what he must
be feeling.
How anyone can mourn the tragedy of the WTC and yet condone this, is beyond my
ability to comprehend.
