    That particular phrase comes from Ken Wilber, specifically THE MARRIAGE OF
    SENSE AND SOUL among others. Pirsig expresses it in a less explicit and less
    detailed form in LILA, as the quote showed. Other than that I'd try to see
    what google gets you.
