How about a different analogy.
In Corleone's patch some trouble has developed for a shop keeper, a gang of boys have started to
cause havoc in his shop, petty theft, vandalism etc. Don Corleone puts a stop to it, not because the
shopkeeper has asked him to, but because it is bad for his reputation.
Does the shopkeeper think it is a good thing that he is no longer troubled by the unruly boys?
