Heyman, red-faced, hangs his head, raises his hand.
Ok, guilty as charged. But that still leaves three powerful points
against the west-is-best position. Since those points haven't been
"carded" or otherwise disputed I'll assume I have the upper hand in
the argument.

LOL. Thanks for this. I'm sure Mark will give a more considered
response. Perhaps it deserves a separate thread: MD is the west the
best we've got? - but then, it would overlap so much with the
capitalism thread, that maybe it should go there. How are you
getting on with that one Mark? I'd love to have more conversation
around De Soto's understanding.
