believe many a true word is spoken in jest, so I thought I'd have a little
harmless fun at your expense - note the :-), hope you'd notice it was
little, light hearted banter, and feel motivated to respond to the obvious
point of the mail, and through dialogue add to the sum of knowledge in the
world, but no ...

Option (3) We is us Brits, and the motive is for us to laud it over you
Yanks, from our obvious position of superior knowledge on UK national
tabloid press.
Option (4) We are a conspiracy of left wing subversives, and our only object
in life is to wipe out 1950's preacher style conservatism.
Option (5) We is all the people who believe that Sun = Truth is an axiom,
and my selfless motive was to make you aware of that absolute truth

hatred for someone called Platt that I've never met.

Option (8) this is very tedious.
Platt you are so predictable, you respond the one sentence that attracts a
smart-ass response, rather than 20 other sentences of sincere thoughts on
the point in question, written to elicit some progress in getting to the
source of truth, because as you have made clear quite explicitly, you have
no interest in promoting MoQ truth, merely finding the lesser of
establishment evils (sorry, truths) until such time as MoQ might become the
prevailing meme by some chance of fate or divine intervention.
Still at least we have "motive" as our subject at last, so you make my point
for me.

(2) is motiveless logic, about as much value as a chocolate fireguard.
