[Matt] So, I wish I could say I understood what you were saying. I believe I
got
the general drift, but I'm sorry we can't strike up a dialogue to resolve,
what I have to believe, are our apparent differences. There's just little
way for people to get a handle on what you're saying so as not to sound
foolish when responding to you.
Hi Matt and all,
I am sure being and sounding foolish is not a problem. I have read Lila.
"The general drift" is a plus.
IMO morality is a difficult subject. War is a difficult subject! "Teach
others sense" "put them on the right road" is a psychic-organic need in
people which helped destroy the League of Nations' efforts to put an end to
war. IMO this is an astute observation. I think Pirsig had the same feeling
about his project. Take the teaching out of it by writing Lila in such a way
as to minimize the damage a teacher causes. See for yourself! Look at how I
live! I think it is very astute of you to question what he was about. I just
can't help but add: What of the MOQ? Is there a psychic-organic connection
to linguistics? Translators have a hell-of-a-job!
