ANT: Firstly, your emphasis on being
obsessed with Pirsig's philosophy is slightly disturbing to read. Though
not always easy, I think it is always healthy to try and keep a distance
between one’s own beliefs and a particular philosopher’s – whoever it is.
ERIN: I got the impression that he was like that in college and has overcome it. C'mon who wasn't a little naive/overly idealistic/obsessive/whatever about something in college? What is disturbing to me is middle-aged adults (not naming names) on this discussion site STILL like that----who can't even phrase their thoughts as their interpretations but instead play a role of the official spokesperson for Pirsig and don't dare disagree with him about anything.
