    Dear Marsha,

Sorry for unintentionally forgetting a 'D' at the very start of my last
    posting to you (7 Apr 2005 17:44:40 -0400).
    Let me try again:

Don't forget that we're discussing REligion with as root REligare or
    REbinding.
It REconnects us, to each other and/or our Source.
    Please have a look at
    www.antenna.nl/wim.nusselder/schrijfsels/genesis%203.html if you haven't
    already done so.

If you follow Pirsig (in 'Lila's Child') your culture is the sum total of
the social and intellectual patterns of value in which you participate.
Intellectual quality represents Dynamic Quality from a social point of view
and social quality represents Dynamic Quality from a biological point of
    view.
To the extent that you are bound to (identify with) biological patterns of
value,REbinding to your culture is Dynamic and progressive from an
    evolutionary perspective.
To the extent that you are bound to (identify with) social patterns of
value, REbinding to the intellectual aspects of your culture is Dynamic and
    progressive from an evolutionary perspective.
To the extent that you are bound to (identify with) intellectual patterns of
value, only REbinding to Dynamic Quality beyond all patterns of value,
beyond all static quality, is Dynamic and progressive from an evolutionary
    perspective.
To the extent that REligion REbinds you to your culture it is indeed static
    (social and/or intellectual) quality.
I need and seek religion to reach beyond all patterns of value. Other
aspects of my life provide me with (also needed) static quality.

    With friendly greetings,

    Wim
