    Hi Sam,

I never heard of Paideia before but since your remark i really enjoyed
hearing about them, quite some reading in front of me after all the
    references I found.

A short while ago I started reading the "Institutio oratoria" written by
    Quintilianus in around 92 AD.
However old it still gives us a great guide on how to teach Retoric, further
then that in this book, at chapter 1.2.4. he discusses wether homeshooling
is preferable from having a child get the schooling in a public place.

Its quite a read but it might interest you.

    Kind Regards,

    Robin Brouwer
