Well, let me know when you're ready. Life is too short to be beating around
the bush in a philosophy forum.

I agree completely. Man is not endowed with the capacity to "know" absolute
truth. This is a corollary of his autonomous freedom. But he is equipped
with the intelligence and intuitive sensibility to postulate what lies
beyond his knowledge of physical reality. That, I submit, is the function
    of metaphysics.

Are you just teeing off at this juncture, or have you at least advanced to
    the fairway?

I suspect you've been reading too much of Kundert -- the archetypical
pragmatist. I know you don't want to remain perched "on the edge". Why
procrastinate? What do you have to fear by exploring the unknown? I don't
see you as a timid soul, and you have the intelligence and the motivation
    required.

Think of it this way: while you may not want to involve yourself with the
Ultimate, it is most certainly involved with you.

Anyway, I'll be here when you're ready.

    Essentially yours,
    Ham
