I thought i might clarify a little more. I find this to be the same about you ---using a little simplistic concept of faith to argue against it rather than listening to people who study the concept for a living to get a better understanding of it. You have to use a fundamentalistic or extreme point of view of Christianity to argue against it rather than to try to understand a particular person's coonception and address his/her points. Not every christian is a Catholic. Maybe if you stop putting religious and intelellectual into mutually exclusive categories you would could actually hear what people HERE are sayig. So take a little of your own advice and LISTEN to what people are saying at this forum and stop reducing everybody to your stupid little nun/priest stereotype.

You must be a real hoot at a poetry reading. Everytimethere
ispoetic use of a metaphor I can see you shouting out "Lies Lies
all lies" you did not qualify your statement of "love is a rose"
with "but only in the sense of a beinga non-scientifically known
substance". Science can have something to say to say
aboutthatmetaphor but the person would look like an idiot and
bemissing the point of the poem.

Here's the unasked for clarification: Catholics who believe in
transubstantion are NOT being metaphorical, or even poetic.
Here's what Witt had to say:
"If you don't know what the fuck you're talking about, stop talking
and ask, then listen..." - Ludwig Wittgenstein, Tractatus Logico-
Philosophicus
