Yes I think that that there can be intellectual discussions about justice and power but I don't really see the political discussions here to be in that category---it seems to be more of social level bickering. If you think your bickering is intellectual then feel free to keep on bickering. Maybe if you could sum up the progress of your" discussions' with Platt others can see the intellectual value better. I read that in a good critical analysis you should be able to summarize the opponent's opinion so well they agree with the summary. I find it hard to believe that either you or Platt will sufficiently summarize the others opinion fairly from my observation of your discussions so no it really isn't a good critical analysis of the issues at hand to me.
