Yeah, that message was the last I read and responded two after a very
long day. I may have read more into your first paragraph than was
warranted.
I am interested in your idea that the polar-cartesian coordinate
analogy somehow contradicts James. As I recall, that analogy was
used to explain the notion that different systems of geometry are
neither right nor wrong, just more or less useful. And I think this
can be applied to metaphysical systems as well.
