Speaking of underlying assumptions, one of yours appears to be that I am a
material man. Au contraire. I consider art and beauty the highest rewards
of life and living. I thought my many posts over the years regarding same
would be make that rather evident. But I have nothing against acquiring
wealth because it allows one more latitude to enjoy the finer (higher
quality) things in life. As one of my favorite sayings goes, attributed to
    Steven King:

"There is fine Waterford crystal which rings delicately when struck, no
matter how thick and chunky it may look, and then there are Flintstone
jelly glassed. You can drink your Dom Perignon out of either one, but
    friends, there's a difference."

Love that "not from government programs." So long as the government stays
out of it, I'm all for whatever emerges from the "ground swell."

P.S. Thanks for concern about hurricane Denis. Fortunately for me, it
passed to the west of where I live. I got hit last year. Once in a
    lifetime is enough.
