Pirsig writes against “ big social planning “ and that “ socialism is a
higher evolutionary form “ so maybe he means bottom up evolutionary
change to some better social form relying on the sum of many individuals
quality rather than waiting for some great genius to come along and wave
a magic wand and solve the internal contradiction of capitalism thus
creating the socialist utopia the left dreams of. After all he said what
neither the capitalists or the socialists figured out was how economic
value decisions were made. Central planning of everything what people
valued was a logistic impossibility.Central planning might be good for
creating a integrated national transport system but not for everything.
My parents were refugees from the Soviet bloc they thought it was
rubbish. The medieval church killing heretics or the communist party
killing heretics what’s the difference!!! Marx was an effective critic
of capitalism but an ineffective prophet of socialism..discuss an essay
I avoided at university.
