Scott,
>Are you saying that it is meaningless to speak of a pattern of particulars?
That depends what you want to discuss. In my opinion if you want to discuss the relation between the MoQ and essentialism it is.
>If so, I don't know what else a pattern may be. I let go of three rocks, one

Because you cannot descibe value in terms of particulars. The absolute essence IMO is dynamic quality (the unvalued), from the process of valueing comes Static Quality or Static Patterns of Values. Everything that is something that we know is so because it's been valued. This valueing is the core-proces that creates everything. So I don't thing you can say 'value is such and such, or consists of such and such'

There is no interaction between dynamic and static there's only valueing.
Best regards,
Reinier.
