I was wondering how you'd respond to the idea that thoughts aren't real.

Sure, but how real are rocks? Are they not just patterns of value left over
from Dynamic Quality? Patterns of value that are rocks are as real as
patterns of value that are thoughts, right? All patterns are equally as
illusionary and theoretical and mystical and as real as any other pattern.
