Platt, most of your points are rhetorical non-sequitors intended to
imply things I said but didn't - your usual dirtiest trick :-) but
anyway ...
When you say
Your explanation that somehow consciousness arises from entities of
sufficient complexity with requisite variety is dubious to say the
least. You might want to explain how that happens when you get a
moment or two.
I say
I doubt you are qualified to say it's dubious, you are simply denying
it. If I could explain it I'd be be a Nobel prize winner, but
fortunately there are plenty of those already on the case. Keep that
mind open - ie suspend disbelief.
Moving on - you make an important point of mine - you too believe
"explanation" is the key and you clearly expect to see quality in an
explanation - you believe you'll recognise a good one when you see it.
