Please don't take Sqounk's verbal crappage as an
example of English wit. As a fellow Englander, I
would hate for such wit to be associated with his
semi-coherent, pretentious, semi-relevant ranting.
sq: Hello Matt, today is a day for apologies. Sincerely.
He is clearly a philosophy undergraduate at Oxford
Brookes or such place, with too much time on his
hands. I think the work of Pirsig is naturally
revelatory and empowers the reader, and in Squonk's
case this process seems to have made him get above
himself, such that he thinks he is some sort of genius
who we are all honoured to be able to learn from.
sq: Blimey! Me? A genius? I spell genius 'guinness' - that's the extent of my
intellect!
His disinterest in even making his posts grammatically
scan shows his contribution to be little more than
unworthy intellectual posturing, and I for one have
long lost interest in what he wants to say.
Matt
sq: I can't be bothered with correct grammar. I like Spike Milligan, and i
should think a great deal of Quality would be lost if he had straight
jacketed himself into grammar.
