Hi Steve:
I appreciate your thoughts, but you shouldn't think peace protestors are
acting only on emotion without any credible information. You have made a
few inaccurate statements, but that is all right. Most people who rely
only on major news networks for their information won't get the whole
story. Iraq did not kick out the inspectors five years ago. They were
pulled out by the US so the US could bomb them.
Yea we all want it both ways. There are tough choices, no doubt. I really
don't want to get into a discussion on whether the US is justified go to
war with Iraq or not. I have many good reasons to think they should not.
Others might have some reasons to think they should. I just wonder whether
there is a better way. I think we are creating a dangerous world. Or, we
are making it more dangerous than it already is. If the world is ever made
into a more peaceful and safer place to live; somewhere, sometime, somebody
is going to have to imagine another alternative to weapons of mass
destruction. And, an US Marine Corps platoon with unlimited ammunition is
as much a weapon of mass destruction as any chemical agent, biological
agent or nuclear weapon. As our all of our conventional warheads.
The majority of the world (peace people) are hoping for this vision of
peace. Many are walking in this direction. They are not choosing killing.
It is the Saddams, Bush's, Clinton's, Bin Ladens, and other political
leaders choosing to continue the killing to achieve their objectives. So,
how do we achieve another vision based on peace or will another vision
never be attainable? (I have not ruled this out)

Andy: Since the end of the first Gulf War

Andy: Wrong, Iraq never kicked out the inspectors, The US pull them out so
they could bomb Iraq.

Andy: Peace people have plenty of credible information to draw their own
conclusions.
