    Please do go on communicating your views to me. It's always a valuable
    experience for me to exchange views with you. You can leave it to me to
    ignore your posts if they would fail to meet my standards of quality by too

    civility's sake, you can be sure that I do experience value in them, even if
    I violate my own intentions by not making clear what I value in them.

    (By the way: Unless you quit communicating any views to this list, which I
    don't hope, I'll have to cope with them anyway, because the only posts I
    only skim are those that lack clarity or that become too repetitive. Yours
    rarely meet these criteria, so not addressing me won't help if you really
    want to spare me your posts.)

    Relevant for YOU are primarily YOUR standards of quality.
    If your posts fail to meet your own standards of quality (do they?!), that
    would be a reason to try to change your style of arguing, not for refraining
    from it. (Unless you are never able to meet your own standards of quality,
    but I won't suppose such a tragic situation.)
    If your posts do meet your own standards of quality (do they?!), there is
    even less reason to refrain from posting. (You might consider trying to
    convince me that your standards are the ones to follow, if you have some
    hope for my convincability.)

    I have already confessed that my posts not always meet my own standards of
    quality. Who am I to expect yours to always do so?
