    being equal, that choice which is more Dynamic, that is, at a higher level
    of evolution, is more moral.

    As the quote above makes perfectly clear, in the Metaphysics of Quality (as
    conceived by Pirsig), when the pros and cons of following one given course
    over another are too balanced to indicate which is the more moral course,
    the scales ought to be tipped towards the more Dynamic choice.
