Hi Rick, Paul, David, living beings

Good observation David on the three main characters representing the three
levels, that was enlightening to me (and the doll, is that the inorganic
character?). I think it is very simplistic though to think that people live
on just one level in real life. Wouldn't some people get some intellectual
ideas, completely miss some social ones, and be "nowhere" biologically,
while other people get different Intellectual ideas, miss others, and get
different biological and social patterns? In real life, couldn't
someone like Rigel get the concepts of democracy or freedom better than
someone who thinks about intellectual things all day?

What are these intellectual patterns again? I'd like them to be identified
and sorted out to see just what we are talking about, rather than just
lumped together. I can only think of democracy and technology and global
corporate economy, and maybe media and music and movie trends. The Giant is
a whole bunch of giant patterns that humans work for. These giant patterns
don't value social patterns like family or friendship, they only need people
to buy and trade and work for the larger scale patterns. They value
individuals who are more loyal to the economy than to family and friends and
    social customs.

I think we need to remember that when humans "respond to DQ", they do it in
the context of what they think DQ is. People's ideas of what to do are
shaped entirely by morality, just as carbon atom's wills are, and morality
now includes these larger patterns. So these patterns do "by themselves"
create people who share the goal of evolving technology, etc. People who
are against the growth of technology and other larger scale patterns find
the wrath of the larger systems is unrelenting in trying to bend their will.
People's supposed choice is thus just as determined by morality as a
    carbon atoms is.

    Johnny
