Hi Platt & Johnny and everyone,

Change that cannot be predicted is nevertheless a result of static
patterns,
it's just that we didn't happen to predict it. Aren't you a determinist
like me and our mutual favorite Schopenhauer?
Mati: I am not sure that we are limited in "predicting", change. In
large part we are able to observe static patterns that exist and
contemplate their change. Sending man to the moon is one example.
Through the ages I am sure that people looked up at the moon and thought
about the idea of going there. And through the ages people dreamt up
ways to do that, which established a static pattern of its own. However
the reality that was never realized until technology was real enough to
make it possible. Then Kennedy decrees that we will send a man on the
moon. This was a decree to create the reality. Surely we can't predict
"absolute change", yet we aren't oblivious to it either. I am willing to
go on a limb and say that some static patterns have already develop and
"culture of change" that tries to perceive it coming and tries to make
it a reality. As far as perceiving DQ, it is a conformation of the
reality change, as well change it self. It is like the North Star, we
don't have to go there to benefit it's relation to us.
Any thoughts?
Mati
