    dmb says:
Aristotle? There are a number of areas where the ancients simply are not
adequate and developmental psychology is certainly one of them. Turning to
Aristotle for insight into developmental psychology is a little like turning
to Plato for insights into computer graphics or Ptolemy for astrophysics.
    Its dumb.

Sq: And yet Aristotle had more intuitive awareness than you have today.
    That's my point.

dmb says: Yea, right. People are forever comparing me to Aristotle. Its a
burden I have to bare. In most ways Aristotle is so much better than me that
such comparisons usually have a demoralizing effect. About the only
consolation I've found so far is that he was a lousy cook and a lazy lover.
This is where I have him beat, hands down. Also, he had a bit of a beer
belly, while I have 31" waist, a flat tummy and a rock-hard bum.
