Thanks for chiming in. I very much appreciated your thoughts on Campbell,
the Troubadours and the romantic genre (Georges Polti is an author who
explores the influence that the romantic genre of writing has had on
culture, interesting stuff).

Well, I'd probably soften it to something like "...marriage is a social and
economic necessity for far less people than it has ever been before...", but
other than that, yeah... that's what I was getting at.
