Hi Joe, Johnny, Squonk, Ian and all,
Thanks for that excellent insight. When asking the question, I was mainly concerned about the standard driving technique never cleanly shifting into a biological pattern. As I mentioned before, a few people said that it becomes an annoyance. I suppose they never looked at the standard transmission as something to play with. I personally always enjoy learning and tinkering with technology, and standard transmission should be no exception. As far as the dynamic part is concerned, I am glad to hear (from johnny) that there is always something more to learn from a standard drive. I like the option to be continuously surprised by my car and myself.
In conclusion, I am almost positive that I will go for a standard transmission. Although before I purchase the car, I would need driving lessons on a standard car because there is no way I am learning on my new car, possibly wrecking the transmission.
Thanks guys,
- Pi
