Hi Johnny,

Equal worth of every person? Really? Do you consider Strom Thurmond of
equal worth to Martin Luther King? If that's where compassion comes from,
count me out. Equality before the law is one thing, a necessary protection
of individual rights against an arbitrary use of government force. But I
hold some people to be of much higher value than other people, beginning
with those closest and dearest to me and spreading out to those who have
contributed most to the quality of life. Making such personal value
judgments is sanctioned by MoQ. You'll not find the word "compassion"
very often in Lila, if at all, much less the idea of "equal worth."
